How to cure Dry Skin in Winters

Having dry skin problem in winters is very common with low moisture, low humidity, dry skin these problems can even get worse. Dryness occurs because of less humidity in air thus, you need to have proper humidity in air for complete skin hydration or completely moisturize your skin to prevent dryness, roughness, dullness, redness & bleeding.

Dry skin home remedies: 

1. Drink water- In winters we always neglect drinking water, we prefer skipping water with hot beverages tea, coffee, soups. However, it is very important to drink lot of water in winters to avoid dehydration. Because we lose moisture in winters, staying hydrated is yet more important. Dehydration can lead to skin cracks, dullness& dryness.
  • Drink 8-10 glasses regularly in winters. We don't feel thirsty & drink enough water in winters as we do for summers.But we lose moisture more in winters then in summers. Thus, drink sufficient water to stay hydrated.

2. Cucumber- In winters it is most important to keep your skin moisturized. Less moisture in air, blows away the moisture from your skin. The moisture-less skin looks dry, dull & flaky. Cucumber contains around 96% of water, that regulates water loss in your body. This infuses life in your skin making it hydrate, glow, smooth & soft.
  • Take cucumber in your diet or drink cucumber juice. 
  • Rub the slice on your face & later rinse off with water.Use it 2-3 times a week for healthy, flawless and smooth skin.

3. Multani mitti- No one likes cracked, flaky skin. Everyone dreams to have smooth, soft, glowing skin. Multani mitti is actual skin care product for dull, acne-prone, dry & irritated skin.   • Make paste of besan, mustard oil, curd& lemon juice. Apply on your skin and rinse off when gets dry. This gives you naturally glowing skin.

5. Banana- Due to climate change, skin texture also changes; dryness, cracks, patches become common in winters. Banana a natural remedy rich in water, vitamins, minerals helps your skin to get hydrated. It also maintains your skin to look younger preventing it from wrinkles and aging effects.
  • Banana & honey mixture moisturize your skin. Apply this paste and leave it for 20 minutes, later wash with lukewarm water.
